Kenya’s Gambling Regulatory Authority has officially published six new regulations governing the country’s gaming sector. The rules took effect on 30 June and apply to all licensed operators following a mandatory three-day notice period.

The newly established framework introduces updated compliance requirements for all gaming businesses operating within Kenyan territory. Authorities implemented the changes through an official gazette publication, which serves as the formal legal notice for industry participants. Operators were required to review the updated provisions during the initial three-day window before the regulations became legally binding.The GRA confirmed that full adherence to the new standards is now mandatory for all active gaming licenses. The regulatory update follows the recent restructuring of Kenya’s gambling oversight body, which was established to centralize industry supervision. Previous licensing procedures remain in place until further amendments are published.
